Why am I getting an error message when trying to complete an Interrupted Stay MDS Assessment?
CMS has reported that providers are receiving “error” messages when coding the MDS Items A0310G1 and A2400 per RAI v1.17.1 instructions. CMS is working to fix the issue and has provided the following work around instructions to be used in the interim: when a provider determines that MDS Item A0310G1 = 1, then they should code MDS item A2400 = 0 until further instructions are provided when the fix is implemented.
